Be inspired by the bones and stones of the Somerville Collection. The DEAD BONES SOCIETY is a series of writing workshops with horror - comedy author Paul Stafford for boys aged 9+.

Paul Stafford has written thirteen fiction books for children and young adults including the Horror High Series published by Random House. He has worked as a tutor at Charles Sturt University and is a literacy consultant in primary and secondary schools throughout Australia.

Writing sessions are held after school three times per term. Contact the Museum for details or to enrol.

The Australian Fossil and Mineral Musuem and Paul Stafford also run a virtual classroom version of the Dead Bones program titled Scattered Bones. These literacy and science based modules are delivered to schools in remote regions of NSW via video conference in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education and Training, School of Distance Education, Connections program.  Contact the Museum for more details.
